Now i am pretty sure that the server authentication failure - issue is caused by other matters. And by this i mean the problem can be targeted to EA / Gamespy.
As i promised i tested Crysis in my home, where i am connected to different kind of network than i normally do. This network is connected straight to internet so i am not affected by hardware firewall / nat. Test result is still the same. Failure still exists.
I even created a new gamespy account to be sure that i build everything piece by piece.
This is what i did today :
- Uninstalled the game and removed every tiny pieces from registry.
- Booted the computer to make sure registry is optimized.
- Re-installed the game.
- Checked the software firewall and setup the right udp / tcp ports for the game.
- Created a new GameSpy - account.
- Updated the Punkbuster
After this i did these moves :
- Closed the software firewall
- Used the crysis_code .exe located in DVD.
Ok, folks. I am pretty sure i have done everything to solve this problem. Now i am crossing my fingers that the first patch will include the cure for this issue. I am very frustrated about this situation.
Money talks, as some wise has said. Ea wanted to rush with this release and this is the result. Hopefully someday (which i doubt), they will do their job before the actual release day.
My testing is now over. But be active and let me know if u have other ideas to get this game to work.
Take care.
